Bio

Carolyn Trabulsi is an award-winning romance novelist who believes powerful romances transcend time.

With a love of history, happy endings, comedy, and Jane Austen, she writes romantic fiction across time and place—from contemporary New York and modern-day romantic adventures to the glittering Gilded Age, mid-century noir, the Jazz Age, and the tumultuous years of World War II. Whether reimagining the beloved characters of Pride and Prejudice in another era or creating entirely original heroes and heroines, her stories share richly drawn settings, memorable characters, emotional journeys, and an abiding belief in the transformative power of love.

A longtime writer of Austen-inspired fiction under the pen name Cat Gardiner, Carolyn  has delighted readers with everything from romantic comedy and Modern Pride and Prejudice variations to time-travel tales and historical adventures. Her books include the Conscience Series, Villa Fortuna, Lucky 13, Undercover: An Austen Noir, The Sound of Christmas, the Time & Again Antique Shop Series, The Compendium Duology, and Darcy’s Marriage Pact. Her historical fiction includes the sweeping WWII novel A Moment Forever—a 2017 Next Generation Indie Book Award Romance Finalist—and the two-volume Flying with the Swallows epic, The Lisbon Affair and Rendezvous in Berlin.

History has long provided both inspiration and adventure for Carolyn. Her years as a 1940s home-front living historian gave her a particular appreciation for the ordinary lives, extraordinary courage, humor, fashions, music, and love stories hidden within the past. Today, that fascination reaches well beyond a single era, shaping the texture and atmosphere she brings to all her historical storytelling.

A member of the National League of American Pen Women, she writes for readers who enjoy romance with heart, history with atmosphere, a dash of wit, and characters worth falling in love with.

Above all, she remains devoted to one essential ingredient: a very satisfying happy ending.
